Final Project Post

So after a long amount of work, time and worry we have finally got a product which feels completed, the project its self started off as a Comic, however, we decide to spice it up to make a Motion comic, sadly this resulted in having to cut our product in half, the result is pleasing yet I feel like it could have been better if given more time, the art book is also in a state of complete but also could have been improved if given more time. the art team have helped provide the project with its style which is intended to be a homage to the classic comics of old.

3D models were used to help create some depth to the comic. my favourite part about the project was getting to work with other members of the class on something fun like this, it wasn’t all sunshine however

above are some of the backgrounds we were able to make regarding art. I am so happy with how they turned out the traditional artist helped supremely withdrawing some background bases, the video is the culmination of the hard work and dedication the team has, each member has dedicated so much and the final product shows that.

As a whole, the Project has gone great bit shaky in areas and finally, I have to say I have enjoyed my time working on this project.

Motion Comic Art Book

Working on the art book for the motion comic the collection of all the drawings, scibbles and doodles we’ve done for this project and the effort we put in all collected in one book (and several photoshop files) will be one of the important things we have to show our leactures.

the pages are going to be split up into character art pages, background art pages and 3d model pages as well as a regular comic version in the back.

MVP Progress

The progress on the project has been coming along very well, the characters blend well into the scene and the the art is very well done (compliments to my fellow artist on the team), the Minimal Viable product is to have 2 or more scenes where the character moves and text boxes come onto the screen which we will hopefully have a fully made motion comic, which has some voice overs and effects.

what we will have by next week is three scenes with the first one having a text box with text typing out and a transition effect for each scene begin a comic page turn, scene two and three have lighting effects on it and a basic animated character walking out of shot and then into shot on the third scene walking to a elevator which will close when he gets in it.

what we still want to do is add more characters into the scene and make it look more smoothly animated with a proper walk animation eventually, the asset list below is going smoothly yet a bit off schedule.Capture

Synoptic Project so far

The project so far has been going at a rather slow pace, the team of three isn’t really communicating well together, and we are lacking any sort of effort, the only upside as of now is that the concept art side of our project is beginning to take shape as well as having the script completed.

the below design was done by me and has had a version done by one of the other members of the team including a body design.

jpeg_20190202_132948715070366.jpgSadly we have had to overstep the deadline as we have only now begun the concept art phase, today’s work has been set on a much smoother course as we have gotten our act together and started to make decent progress.

some art has been done by one of the members of the team, this concept art is early days but looks rather well done I would like to say.

The character of velocity was a character from the fellow artist’s comic idea the concept of the costume will heavily help inspire the costume for the project characters costume.

using the vanishing point method I redrew the F.E.R.O Building.
